Tim Cheprasov

Tim joined West End Baptist in August 2019. Their family (his wife Yulia, and 3 kids - Alexey, Daniel and Lisa) have moved to Halifax from Manchester, UK, where they'd lived for eight years serving at Bury Baptist Church.

Tim is originally from Russia. He then spent several years in Prague, Chech Republic, where he received his MTh and PhD from International Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tim has served in various roles in churches in Prague, Edinburgh and Bury, Greater Manchester.

When it comes to ministry, Tim's passions are preaching, social justice, and the Church!

Tim loves being with people, loves to explore different cultures, and enjoys challenging questions and conversations.

Kymm Lucien

Kymm is the newest member of our pastoral team, joining us as the children & youth pastor in August 2022. You have probably seen her around since she has been volunteering at West End Baptist in almost every ministry since 2015.

A passion of hers is helping guide any and everyone in their identity in Christ. She sees great potential in “the next generation” and loves to build and foster relationships with them. On Sundays and Wednesdays, you will see her gravitating towards kids as soon as they walk through our church’s doors.

Kymm is an exuberant individual but don’t let this “ball of energy” put you off. She just loves people and wants to bring joy into their lives. Don’t be surprised that, while she is speaking with you, she has already signed you up to lend a helping hand (if needed).

She doesn’t like taking photos but loves any excuse to decorate, create a photo booth and encourage others to make memories while marking the occasion.

One of the gifts of pastoral ministry, for Kymm, is walking through life with kids, teens, volunteers, and parents. Seeing God transforming hearts, minds and lives is one of the biggest privileges of this position.
